Danh sách các thiên hà gần nhất

Đây là danh sách các thiên hà đã biết trong phạm vi 3,8 megaparsec (12,4 triệu năm ánh sáng) tính từ Hệ Mặt Trời, bao gồm khoảng 50 thiên hà thuộc Nhóm Địa phương lớn và một số thiên hà là thành viên của các nhóm thiên hà lân cận (nhóm M81, M83) và 1 số thiên hà không thuộc về nhóm nào.

Danh sách này nhằm phản ánh kiến ​​thức hiện tại: không phải tất cả các thiên hà trong bán kính 3,8 Mpc đều đã được phát hiện. Các thiên hà lùn gần đó vẫn đang được phát hiện và các thiên hà nằm phía sau mặt phẳng trung tâm của Dải Ngân hà cực kỳ khó phân biệt. Bất kỳ thiên hà nào cũng có thể che dấu một thiên hà khác nằm ngoài nó. Các phép đo khoảng cách giữa các thiên hà có độ không đảm bảo lớn. Các số liệu được liệt kê là sự tổng hợp của nhiều phép đo, một số trong số đó có thể có các thanh lỗi riêng lẻ được siết chặt đến mức không còn chồng chéo với nhau.
