Đây là toàn bộ danh sách các giải thưởng chính thức được trao cho U2 - một ban nhạc rock Ireland thành lập vào năm 1976, với các thành viên là Adam Clayton, Bono, The Edge và Larry Mullen. U2 từng là một trong những ban nhạc khuấy đảo cả thế giới [1][2] và đã giành được 22 giải Grammy, nhiều hơn bất kì ban nhạc hay nhóm nhạc nào khác.[3]
U2 thành lập vào năm 1976 khi các thành viên còn khá trẻ tuổi và non nớt trong lĩnh vực âm nhạc. Tuy nhiên vào giữa thập niên 80, ban nhạc đã trở thành một cơn sốt toàn cầu. Ban nhạc nổi tiếng với âm thanh anthemic, giọng hát lôi cuốn của Bono và kỹ thuật chơi guitar điêu luyện của The Edge. Những thành công ban đầu đã góp phần tạo nên tên tuổi của họ. Kỷ lục bán chạy của album đầu tay The Joshua Tree (1987) là một mình chứng, đưa họ trở thành một ban nhạc ngôi sao.[4]

Họ đã thắng tổng cộng 22 giải Grammy. Giải Grammy thường niên được trao bởi Hiệp Hội Hàn Lâm Thu Âm Hoa Kỳ. Cho tới hiện tại, U2 đang sánh ngang với Stevie Wonder với việc giành được nhiều chiến thắng nhất từ các lần đề cử: 22 giải sau 47 lần đề cử. Golden Globe Awards[sửa | sửa mã nguồn]
The Golden Globes are awarded annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. U2 was nominated five times for Best Original Song: Their song "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)" from the Wim Wenders film Faraway, So Close! was nominated in 1994, but lost against Bruce Springsteen's "Streets of Philadelphia". For "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" from Batman Forever, they were nominated again in 1996, but again no win (losing to: "Colors of the Wind" by Vanessa Williams). Finally, in 2003, they received the award for "The Hands That Built America", which appeared in Gangs of New York. In 2010 their song "Winter" for the film Brothers was also nominated but lost against the song "The Weary Kind" by Ryan Bingham for Crazy Heart.[13] The Edge of U2 described how the band plans to celebrate the nomination. "I think we might have a pint of Guinness in honor of (director) Jim (Sheridan) and his great piece of work.[14] In 2014, "Ordinary Love" won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

In 1989 and 1993, U2 won Juno Awards for International Entertainer of the Year, and subsequently, producer Daniel Lanois won the Jack Richardson Best Producer Award for the production of "Beautiful Day" and "Elevation".[24] In 1992, U2 won No. 1 Album Tracks Artist at the Billboard Music Awards for "Mysterious Ways".[25] In 2001, they received both the NME Award for "Godlike Genius" and "Best Rock Act".[26] The following year, they received the award for "Best Live Act".[27] In 2003 they received both the Golden Globe Award[28] and Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award[29] for Best Song for "The Hands That Built America", which appeared in Gangs of New York. The following year they won Favorite Group at the People's Choice Awards.[30] In 2005 the band was inducted into the Cleveland-based Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.[31]
